Cuisine and Specialties:

Welcome to Bongasi Hyundai Department Store Daegu Branch, a hidden gem nestled in the food court of Hyundai Department Store in Banwoldang. While many go for standard sushi, my go-to dish here is the lesser-known but absolutely delightful Hoe-deopbap (회덮밥), a Sashimi Rice Bowl featuring a trio of fish - Tuna, Salmon, and live fish - paired with fresh veggies and octopus sashimi. It's a local secret that deserves to be shared. The Photo below is the salmon rice bowl.

Location and Ambiance:

Situated just three stations away from Windmill House (Duryu Station), the restaurant offers a laid-back atmosphere perfect for both family outings and solo dining. With convey belt-style sushi, it's easy to grab your favorites and enjoy a satisfying meal without any fuss.

Menu Highlights:

While the conveyor belt sushi offers a quick and delightful experience, for those seeking the utmost freshness, I recommend trying the made-to-order option. Simply place an order with the chefs or friendly staff, and enjoy your favorite sushi prepared with care for a truly fresh and personalized dining experience. Surprisingly, there is English translation on each dish and that means I save time 🤫

Customer Reviews/Testimonials:

While online reviews might not do justice, as a local Daegu resident, I genuinely enjoy their signature Hoe-deopbap. I encourage you to give it a try, and don't forget to mix the bowl with Gochujang for that extra kick!
